Phelps Health Foundation’s Database and Stewardship Manager Beth Dare Selected as Scholarship Recipient

Phelps Health Foundation’s Database and Stewardship Manager Beth Dare was selected as a scholarship recipient to attend bbcon 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee October 15-17, 2019.

Beth Dare, database and stewardship manager for Phelps Health Foundation, was selected as a scholarship recipient to attend bbcon 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee October 15-17, 2019.  Beth was selected based on a video submission and competed with hundreds of other colleagues worldwide.  An annual conference for the nonprofit software solution organization Blackbaud, bbcon hosts thousands of fundraisers, marketers, administrators, executives and industry thought leaders from across the social good community.  The conference is a way for the social good community to get inspired by today’s trends, tomorrow’s tech innovations and network with colleagues in the nonprofit sector, including those in healthcare philanthropy.

“I chose to apply for this scholarship because bbcon provides the ultimate training environment for someone in my role.”

Serving as the database and stewardship manager since August 2018, Beth became a bCRE-PRO (Blackbaud Certified in Raiser’s Edge Professional) in December 2018.  She has been the driving force behind the development of Phelps Health Foundation’s donor database, supporting multiple appeals and campaigns during a period of transformational change for the organization.  “I chose to apply for this scholarship because bbcon provides the ultimate training environment for someone in my role.  I hope to use this opportunity to learn how to take our donor database to the next level.”

Since moving to Rolla at age 7, Beth has graduated from Rolla High School and Missouri University of Science and Technology.  She is also a graduate of Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College.  She has been an employee of Phelps Health since 2014.
